Will I need to recheck my bag for multiple international layovers?
I will be flying from San Antonio to Kathmandu soon, making 4 stops using 4 different airlines. Two of the airlines I believe are affiliates (Jet Airways and Air India). I fly from San Antonio to Dallas on American Airlines. Next I fly from Dallas to Toronto on Air Canada. Then from Toronto to Heathrow on Air India. That same plane will take me on to Delhi where I switch to a Jet Airways fight to Kathmandu. The average time between flights is about 3 to 3 and a half hours which I hope is enough. The change in Dallas however is only one hour and 45 minutes. Air India and Jet Airways assign seats at check-in so I'll likely be getting my tickets when I arrive in those airports. This is my first international flight and I'm not sure when, where, or if I'll need to re-check my baggage and it has me kind of worried as all of my gear for 6 months is in one checked bag. Any help or advice I would greatly appreciate. Thanks! Also, do you think I'll be able to check my bag to my destination?

Once you check your bags, the entire procedure should be behind the scenes. That being said, your bags will go through Customs Checks at Pearson, Heathrow, and Indira Gandhi. Unless you're carrying something the local Customs people don't like, it won't have much effect on you. Personally, since you'll be spending all your time in the International Area of each airport (i.e.: the Departure Lounges behind Security), you won't face Customs until you land in India. Good Luck!

Today, Balderas was shaken and fearful of being forced to return to a country he barely remembers. He hopes to finish school and become a cancer researcher. "I’m very worried to be honest," he said in an interview. "I’m willing to fight this, of course. I’m just hanging in there." Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Brian P. Hale would not comment on Balderas's case because of privacy laws, but he said ICE evaluates each case on an individual basis. Well, how many forms did the student fill out with false information in order to get accepted to the university, as well as to be eligible for the scholarship? It is unfortunate to see someone take advantage of the opportunities afforded to citizens of the US under false pretense and make the most of it to better his life and the life of his family. However, he is here illegally and if he lied on his admittance application about his citizenship as well as the scholarship application, then he needs to pay a price for breaking the law.

Serious question about L.A. transportation
Serious question about L.A. transportation?
In the first round when L.A. was playing the Nuggets... I heard while the Nuggets players were leaving their hotels to go to the Staples Center their bus caught on fire. Then when the San Antonio Spurs were leaving New Orleans to arrive at L.A. their plane had "technical difficulties", and the players were forced to sleep at the airport, in their cars and on the plane. Then last night, I heard when the Boston Celtics were leaving L.A. to arrive at Boston, their plane had "technical difficulties" and their flight was delayed a few hours and they arrived late to Boston. What the hell is going on here?? Snakes on a plane....ahahhahahahhaha

I heard someone say that "God was a Laker." It is a very weird coincidence that everyone playing LA had some kind of transportation problem, but no one can be blamed. Its a freak accident, all three. It is freaky though.

Well, the Celtics and Nuggets thing were two completely different forms of transportation. Then the Spurs thing was way different because that was in New Orleans and had nothing to do with L.A.

The fact that this has happened to all the teams who have been playing LA is a little suspicious to me. I'd like to think that all of these things are just random coincidence. But, with things happening to every team the Lakers have played against just being coincidence is tough for me to believe. Then again it could all just be random coincidence.

I would like to think its merely coincidence...but who knows...maybe the Lakers have a way of hiring "technicians" or whoever to operate the transportation of opposing teams....doesnt matter though...the Celtics are killing the Lakers
