just call American airlines and tell them that you forgot what time your flight leaves San Antonio and tell them your last name and they can check their computers you might be able to go online and find your reservation that by last name and date of travel
2 :
You can dial-AA-Flight Information to check on current flight, schedule and gate information, call this 24 hour toll-free automated phone system: 1-800-223-5436
3 :
Go to the airports web-site and look up departure times or just ring the airline

So what can I expect on this flight

So what can I expect on this flight?
I am flying this Wednesday to San Antonio International (SAT) from O'Hare International (ORD). I am flying American Airlines on a McDonnell Douglas MD-80. Is there anything special on this flight such as entertainment. I have heard not to sit at the of the this plane due to the proximity of the engines. I am sitting about 8 rows in front of the last row, near the galley.

No entertainment except for the crying babies. Light food will be served. So will some soda, juice or water. Bring either your MP3 player, DVD player and buy some food after the security checkpoint. Bring earphones or earplugs. Those MD80s are noisy near the engines. Happy flying!

I wouldn't expect anything as far as entertainment. Bring your headphones and a book. If you're afraid it will be too noisy, bring some earplugs. Remember some chewing gum to help pop your ears from the altitude change! And if you have a cold, take a decongestant. Have a fun trip!

? does it matter?

Those are older planes - and American seems to fly a lot of them for some reason and I can't wait for them to be phased out and replaced with newer Boeing 737s (which I'm sure will happen eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later). Anyway, I digress. They ARE safe but they lack any real features as far as entertainment and such. I would imagine that your flight isn't gonna be much over a couple hours though, so hopefully you can live without a TV to entertain you for that long I fly on these aircraft quite often actually since I usually fly American, and with the exception of these old planes, American is one of the best. I haven't found any part of the plane is significantly better or worse than any other.

You just have to deal with the folks who all seem to need to use the lav cause they didn't go before they left the airport. The noise is not that bad. Yes, the new 737 will be coming out to replace the S-80's...

I'm traveling and I'm pregnant.

I'm traveling and I'm pregnant. . .?
I'm not so worried about the stress of traveling, but rather the packing and preparing. I've always been such a freak about packing or organizing weeks before my departure. I make lists and check them off before I leave and before I come back home I check the list off again so I won't forget anything. I'm needing some help with what I SHOULD make sure to take with me on this non-stop flight from San Diego, CA to San Antonio, TX. (Only 3 hrs.) This is my first time traveling pregnant. (by the way my doc is cool with me traveling at 6 mos.) Anyhow, I know as a pregnant woman I need to bring my prenatal vitamins. Anything else? Of course I have the usual items on the list like clothes, camera, charger for camera, books, shoes, seeing glasses, cell phone, cell phone charger. I've already look over the TSA list of what NOT to take on board. I'll bringing a small carry-on suitcase and not bothering with toiletries since family'll have all that at their house. Suggestions?

Good Lord you are WAY overpreparing!! Calm down sweetie, you've already covered all the bases.
2 :
Other than your essentials and vitamins, I wouldn't worry about taking anything else. I flew from Houston to SF and back several times during my pregnancy and had to worries. Enjoy your visit. (I'm only 3 hours by car from SA!)
3 :
I would be sure to bring healthy snacks. You never know what kind of junk they will feed you on the plane, if they feed you at all! I would also bring my own water, I recently read something about how dirty the flight attendants hands get because they are touching everything that everyone on the plane has touched, so even if they wash their hands you are not protected against other people who don't...yuck. Also, I don't normally use anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, but I bring it when I travel. That's all I can think of. Have a fun trip!

Bring all pil & vitamin for preganna from doctor, Healthy snack & food, and water . You peparing all - perfact. Good Luck and have a nice trip.

Traveling to San Antonio for Airforce ceremony..

Traveling to San Antonio for Airforce ceremony....
I will be flying to SanAntonio with my 4 year old (his first flight) to attend my brothers airforce ceremony. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to rent a car when I get down there. Not sure what the area is like. We're going to be there for 3 days and 2 nights. So my questiion, Can I get away with not renting a car??

you will probably need one. We just went there and things were kind of far away.

no you will need one sorry say

SA is a huge city. For example, the airport is pretty far from the bases. plus while you're there, check out the Paseo, and the Alamo & all those places, which are pretty far away from the bases. So I say rent the car and have a great time! might as well make the most of it, as it's a really fun place.

You might be able to take taxi cabs and buses... but, honestly? I think your best bet would be to go ahead and rent a car. San Antonio is a great big sprawling city. The bus system is not easy to understand. Does your brother have a car you could borrow? Also, as is the case at most airports, there are many rental car places right there at the airport. Welcome and I hope you have an enjoyable time, whichever mode of transportation you choose!

Um I live at the tip of Texas, but we do a lot of vacationing to San Antonio. I would say if you want to do different things yes! There is so much to do there Sea World, Fiesta Texas, River Walk, Outlets, and so so much more. It's awesome there I love it and I'm sure you and your little boy will to!!

If you can afford it, rent a car. A GPS would also make your life 1000 times easier. I realize they aren't cheap... Just sayin'. The bus system is descent but probably not ideal for someone visiting in your situation. Taxis are VERY EXPENSIVE. Plus, SA is a pretty spread out place. Bottom line: Get the rental car. Maybe there's a compact car with a built in GPS. Put your walking shoes on and on an empty stomach, hit the River Walk and surrounding area. It's a LOT of fun. San Antonio is a very family oriented town. Hope you have a good time. P.S. I lived there for 3 years and didn't once go to the Alamo. I'm told I didn't miss much. haha!

Airport is in the North Central part of San Antonio and Lackland is on the Southwest part of the ciy......................Sorry but you will really need to get a rental car to get around our city.
8 :
Definitely rent maybe a compact car , things are so spread out taxis would get pricey and you'd spend hours on a bus trying to get where you needed not to mention some walking which may not be good with a little one, check with advantage or alamo, ive found they have the most reasonable rental rates and close to the terminals
9 :
i would definitely say get a car. The city is huge and ur 2 most important points are about 20 miles apart (airport and lackland) which would cost about 46 bucks in cab fair, and that's just to get to the base. If u wanted to explore our city, which i highly suggest, you would be looking at hundreds of dollars in cab fare. if cost is an issue many of the rental car companies offer military discounts so you can get ur brother to get u the car to save some cash.
