i presume it might be only for certian airlines as for southwest it seem that they will charge you $5.00 but that might be only if you wanted the interent from theiir website WiFi Internet Access — Now Available Southwest Airlines is excited to offer satellite-enabled WiFi internet access onboard. The service is currently being implemented across the Southwest fleet. With this innovation, we are giving Customers with WiFi-enabled devices the freedom to be more productive and to stay entertained while they fly with full access to the Internet, including e-mail, shopping, and virtual private networks (VPN). Right now there are only 32 aircraft with Row44 internet installed, but Southwest is in full swing getting their other aircraft installed. They hope to have all their Boeing 737-700′s equipped by the end of 2011 and the entire fleet by the middle of 2013. This special $5 fee is an extended introductory fee. Southwest says the Wi-Fi will be $5 during the entire installation process and they aren’t sure where it will go from there. Currently, you will have to pay $5 per leg that you fly, but they hope to have it changed where $5 will get you internet for your whole flight with stops. Also, at this time you can’t see online which flights will have internet, but Southwest will send you and email the night before and let you know you can get internet.

WiFi on Southwest Airlines is not free, you have to pay $5 to use it! If your only going on a 1 hour flight, not worth spending the $5. But if your going on a 4 to 5 hour flight, then yes its worth using!

I'm driving from San Antonio, TX. to Las Vegas. Is the road safe as far as violence from gangs

I'm driving from San Antonio, TX. to Las Vegas. Is the road safe as far as violence from gangs?
I'm driving from El Paso, Texas to Las Vegas right after Christmas. I have been hearing that gang violence on reservations is getting worser and growing everyday. Something about the cartels recruiting young guys from the reservations. Anyways I'm going to Vegas to visit family with my boyfriend and sister and figured the road trip would be less than the flight cost. Is it safe to travel through some of the reservations on the way to Vegas??? My boyfriend says that - thats all there is on the way! However he drove many years ago, & doesn't really remember. I'm afraid of like people hiding out in the deserted areas waiting to mug people passing by. I'm from Mexico so I am just afraid. We would be driving during the day only since we got a hotel in Las Cruces to avoid driving at night PLEASE HELP US!!!! ANY INFO WOULD HELP OR TIPS THANKS

no las vegas is not that bad at all i lived there for 3 years and its fine has long as you know where your going and which roads to take.do not for any reason go into the gang area which you will find out where those areas are but if you stick to the main high way roads your fine and as soon has you hit vegas call your buddy to meet you. best of luck to you.

Start your morning with supper at Pi's Chinese Restaurant. The exciting, splendid and de luxe this restaurant is an unrenowned little restaurant. This restaurant features the most enjoyable and flash cuisine in North America.

Don't stop there then. They are not going to have road trap to catch you. Make sure you have gas before you hit El Paso. Yes it is safe to drive through reservations! I mean really... Are they going to chase you guys down?? Do not cause trouble then you will not have to worry. Common since.
4 :
Travel is safe if you have a reliable vehicle. Do not stop except in a well lite area like a gas station, etc. People are not waiting in the desert to jump you. Ignore anyone who is by a disabled vehicle or thumbing a ride.

This aint mexico. We dont have freakin road bandits.

NOT a problem............just drive and DON'T PICK UP HITCHHIKERS!!!!!!!!!

what does it mean by "1 flight stop" before going to the destination

what does it mean by "1 flight stop" before going to the destination?
like, i'm trying to travel from lets say, San Antonio to Chicago and it tells me 1 flight. Does it mean, have to like switch planes or just wait for more passangers or something? Its really my first time ever flying or being on a plane so i wouldn't know at all.

Other passengers board.

It probably means you won't get on a plane in San A, and get off in Chic, you will make one stop inbetween. I think if it said connecting you would need to changes planes, a "stop" usually has the same plane, but they might make you get off and then reboard.

Hi, I am the CTO of vayama.com, a major online travel website. Whenever your itinerary says something like "1 stop". This means that your flight will normally stop at an intermediary city. For example, if you were flying from San Antonio to Chicago on AA, your flight may have a stop in Dallas, AA's hub. Normally, flights listed as "1 stop" domestically do not require a change of plane. Flights listed as one stop internationally, may require you to go from a smaller plane to a larger plane. Take a look at your itinerary carefully. It should show you were the stop is. Or you can type your flight number or record locator into the airline's website to see more information about the stop.

"1 flight stop" means that you'll take off from San Antonio and instead of flying directly to Chicago, you'll fly to another airport first and you'll likely have to change planes there. Then from that airport, you'll fly to Chicago. Changing planes is very easy and not nearly as daunting as it sounds. I'll use the same example - your first flight might be from San Antonio to St. Louis. Once you get to St. Louis, look for a flight information screen - usually it's either a flat-screen or regular "tube" television. Find your flight number (it will be on your ticket) and the name of the city you're going to (Chicago) on the screen, and the gate will be listed there. Follow the signs throughout the airport to get to your next gate - you might have to change concourses, but as I said, there will be signs to guide you. If you have trouble or any questions in the airport, just ask a uniformed employee how to get to your gate and they'll gladly help you. Have a great flight.

Will be headed to San Antonio, Tx in June. Anyone know of any cool things to go see, do or experience

Will be headed to San Antonio, Tx in June. Anyone know of any cool things to go see, do or experience?
This is just a weekend getaway & we would like something to do something different than going to the Alamo or Seaworld. It is a group of 4 (2 guys & 2 ladies) going and just want to relax, have some fun and make some really good memories to take back to Dallas. We like dancing and music. Old School RnB preferably. We like eating different types of food, live music, boat rides, comedy shows and shopping. Also if you can refer us to a nice Missionary Baptist church that would be good too as we do plan on attending on Sunday morning before our flight back to Dallas. Thanks in advance for your responses. MzzAnn...

You won't want to miss River Walk. That's at least a day.
2 :
The Riverwalk gets really crowded at night and in my opinion, annoying. It was alot nicer to visit it during the day. I would suggest definetly visiting The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum. It was very different...dont miss it.

if you like walking, my scout group did the missions tour. you can also drive it. The river boat ride is fun, makes stops along the way and used to do a dinner ride if you reserved it early enough. They have a great zoo and botanical gardens. i like to eat at Mi Tierras in the Market area. Take the trolley there. there also shops in this area. The River Center Mall is awesome and there is an Alamo battle movie that is interesting. Numerous "museums" across from the Alamo too.

NE of San Antonio is the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Wildlife Ranch. Those are both something different. The caverns are great during the summer - not hot at all underground. The formations are amazing to see. As far as places to go out - I really like Guerne Hall (pronounced green). See the website below. Church - it's not baptist, but visitors always greatly welcomed at Mac Arthur Park Church of Christ. Have a great visit.
