Confusion about connecting flights

Confusion about connecting flights?
I am flying roundtrip to Texas this upcoming June. I had to buy connecting flights (cleveland-houston-san antonio) then (san antonio-houston-cleveland). My question is, when I check into my flight in Cleveland, then land in Houston, do I have to check into my Houston-San Antonio flight or does the Cleveland check-in cover all of my flights for that day? any answers and advice are much appreciated. thank you.

You should be getting all boarding passes in Cleveland, but if for any reason you don't (in can happen) they agent will let you know to check-in Houston, but you can always ask to double check.
2 :
If you're on the same airline or partner airline you'll get both boarding passes when you check in for your 1st flight in each direction. If you have checked baggage, your baggage will also be forwarded to your final destination in each direction.

since you dont say what airline we can only guess if its the same airline (continental for example) or a partner (codeshare) airline then your bags will be check though to San Antonio if if one of you flights in on continental and connecting flight is on Southwest then you will have to claim your luggage at Houston and recheck them with southwest and re clear security again since southwest doesnt interline with anyone else (note if both flight are on southwest then the bags will be checked though to San Antonio

cleveland flight is enough for the day. if you check in bags, make sure you get a slip back from them and it should say where the final destination is. person giving you your tickets and bag slips usually tell you what city to claim your luggage but if they don't, ask.
