How to stop excess personal anxiety on soon 3hr airplane flight

How to stop excess personal anxiety on soon 3hr airplane flight?
Sometimes in flight I worry about having a heart problem even though I don't and my doctor said mine is fine. I do have diagnosed anxiety/depression (Generalized Anxiety Disorder and OCD) and mild depression because of it and take about 40mg fluoxetine (Prozac generic) daily which has helped a lot. I'm soon going with my family on an airplane trip and don't want my heart to beat too fast on the airplane but ironically this worry/focus makes it beat faster haha. I had this worry before and made it fine on a 7hr Tokyo to Honolulu flight and this time it'll be a 3hr Minneapolis to San Antonio flight. What can I do to be less anxious about my heart and have more positive focus? That is my only anxiety is that I'll have problems like that on the flight. I literally have less worry than most others about the plane crashing/turbulence fears, etc.

Did you know more people die from medical malpractice than they do in airplane crashes per year? You have no more chance of dying on an airplane than you do of dying somewhere else, so being in an airplane isn't really the problem here. Anxiety is a real issue, I'd recommend going to a doctor...but iatrogenesis is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US.... if the prozac isn't helping the anxiety, consider getting something else.

Why not ask the doctor who is prescribing the Prozac to also prescribe a medication to hellp get over the flight. Please be very frank with him and tell him that you do need to have something that will ease your anxiety. Also try to have an appointment with a psychologist and she or he may be able to quell some of the anxiety you are having without medication. You might also try something like yoga or acupunction prior to boarding the plane which may help to ease the anxiety associated with the flight. There are also head sets which totally cut out the noise of the plane's engines and the other aspects of the plane ride. There are also IPODS which just are those that have music on them. It is possible to purchase one that can hold up to 1000 songs and does not need charging for an 11 hour period of time. This will allow you to forget that your heart has a tendency to beat faster to the point that you feel you are having a heart attack. I am sure your heart is normal. You just need to place your attention in another form so that you cannot experience this.
