Connecting flight help

Connecting flight help...?
I'm leaving for Philly next Thursday from Dallas the only bad thing is I have a layover and I've never had one before. So I'm wanting to know how does the layover work as far me getting to my next gate..I have a layover in San Antonio I arrive there at 10:25 and depart at 11:25 is that enough time to get to my gate and make my flight? Again I've never had a connecting flight so any advice would be great! The airline is Southwest

It depends if your original flight is delayed. It will be tight, regardless. You will usually board about 30 minutes before departure. I would say it is enough time only if your original flight is 100% on time. When flights are this close together, my best advice to you would be to go right to your gate as fast as you can. Do not stop anywhere, get to your gate first. If you need to go to the bathroom or anything, do it after you arrive at your gate.

first you are mixing up a layover with a connection a layover is like a stopover (or a overnight connection thats consider a layover you only have a connection and I dont understand why you have to go though San antonio when you are leaving from Dallas you are going backwards! since San Antonio is like south of dallas and Dallas would be closer to Philly (unless you meant to say you are leaving from San Anation and going to Philly with a connection flight in Dallas is that really the case? here you also dont mention the airline either so it mostly cases your connection should be okay

Connections are sometimes out-of-the-way. I have flown Chicago to New Orleans with a Boston stop

San Antonio is not a really big or busy airport so I would say that 1 hour for a connection is plenty of time. When you land, just look at the TV screen to find out what gate your connecting flight to Philly will depart from and then walk to that gate. You should not have to worry about anything. If you cannot find the gate, ask someone such as a restaurant or store employee.
