Who do you contact to book flight at Charlotte County Airport on Skybus?
I would like to fly out of the Charlotte County Airport in Punta Gorda, Fla to fly to San Antonio, TX. I can't find who to call or email. I keep getting dircted to these "cheap flight" companies that deal with large commercial carriers.

Skybus went out of business The only flights out of Punta Gorda these days are Allegiant Air (Greenville/Spartanburg, Knoxville) Direct Air operated by Virgin America (Allentown, Chicago-Rockford, Kalamazoo, Myrtle Beach, Niagara Falls, Toledo, Worcester, Plattsburgh) Neither of these airlines will get you close to San Antonio. Either you will have to buy two tickets or drive to Fort Myers or Sarasota or even Tamps.

My mom lives in another state do you think she'll make it for my baby's birth
My mom lives in another state do you think she'll make it for my baby's birth?
My husband is in the military so we moved a few months ago. I don't want my mom to take a set vacation because what if the baby doesn't come during that time frame. This is my first baby, and my mom's first grand child, and we are very close! They don't have a direct flight for our destinations and it normally takes 4 or 5 hours total from security check to arrival...depending on the lay over time to get to where i live. I'm also worried about the airlines having available flights from San Antonio to OKC since it will be late June. Do you think this will be enough time so my mom can still be by my side? I've heard that a lot...the first pregnancy takes the longest. why? those who have more than one child how long were you in labor with your children? Wow pinkandbrunette! You are so lucky! That was a blessing that he could be there with ya'll!

I was prego when my husband was deployed to Iraq. I was due April 20, and I told him for his R and R (two week visit to see family) to come home on April 14. The baby finally came April 23, and he got a few days to spend with him. It was so hard, and stressful planing and hoping that the baby would be born while he was on R and R. Just wanted to share my story. I hope she is able to see the birth.

It's possible, average labor for the first born is 12 hours. Mine was a scheduled C-section so I can't comment from experience.
4 :
Ask you Dr to induce you. That way you will have a set date.Good Luck and congrats.

It is very possible- but don't get your hopes up. I do hear that many first labors take a VERY long time but- so when I had my first, my inlaws lived a 5 hour drive away, so when I was sure that I was in labor, my hubby told them to pack up and start driving. They arrived 2 hours after he was born:-) My labor from first twinge of pain to baby out was 6 hours, and hten my 2nd baby was 5 hours from start to finish.

My first birth took 19 hours from the time my water broke. It depends on the woman and the pregnancy. I would think your mom should go ahead and take vacation time, about 2 weeks, around the time of your due date. If you have the baby before she gets there, she'll at least be there to help you through the first couple of weeks (which are a bit difficult.) If you go over, most doctors won't let you go over more than a week or two, so either way, chances are good that she'd be there. Also, I don't know if you're at Tinker or Vance, but there are a lot of good doulas in your area. When my husband was stationed at Vance I had a really WONDERFUL doula named Sara. She lives near Vance and can really recommend someone good if that's what you'd like. It really made a difference having a knowledgeable woman at my side. Even my husband appreciated it. Email me through my profile and I'll help you out if that's what you want.

I lived in a different state than any of my family when my first was born. Had I of not had complications the total time from when my water broke (at 3:30 am) until the baby would have been born was about 7 hours. Seeing as my water broke in the middle of the night, my parents wouldn't have had time to get a flight to get to where we were in time. He also came a full month before his due date. Honestly, it was more important for me to have my mom around after I came home from the hospital. Newborns are cute but they don't do anything. Once you're at home, with no more nurses helping, it's much more beneficial to have someone there to help.

I was induced with #1, my mom lived 5 hours driving away. I was grateful I was induced because I REALLY wanted my mom to be there!! I would just ask your doctor if it is a possibility to be induced when the time comes.. plus, you will have some sort of idea because of the weekly visits with your OB you should know if your getting closer.

Question about Military Space A travel
Question about Military Space A travel?
Ok I have a question we are active duty military stationed in Germany and I have two stepsons who we want to come visit in the summer time. My question is can my husband and I ( or just my husband) take a space A flight to San Antonio,Tx to pick them up and take them back to Germany on a Space A flight? They are his dependents and have military ID's and passports. Also when taking them back can I got by myself on space A to drop them back off or does my husband have to be with us ( He is the actual Active duty member)? Thank you for Any information.

Yes, hubby can fly back, get them, and do the same again when it is time to go. And, as military on leave it puts him higher on the wait list. The down side is that he can't sign up until he is on leave. For spouses, you must have a letter from his commander authorizing you to fly, and the boys can only fly with their sponsor. Just be aware.... flights during the summer fill up very fast. Active duty in orders and DODEA teachers on summer break have priority. I've known lots of folks that have ended up paying full price for last minute tickets because of school timelines. Also, with the situation in Japan and Libya, much of the AF cargo fleet is otherwise occupied. We have folks deployed who are being put on hold for returning due to cargo aircraft availability.

usafbrat is correct. You are allowed to use Space A travel. The summer time and holiday seasons are the worst time trying to get Space A. I was stationed in K-town so i know you are flying out of Ramstein. I took a couple of flights from there and one time i had to wait 2 days. As the AF becomes busy with support missions the less space will be available for passengers. What the Commercial Airlines should make is special fares for Military Personnel stationed overseas. below find the Space A link. http://militaryliving.com/spacea/index.html

Will Continental Airlines forward a message to girl I sat next to for me
Will Continental Airlines forward a message to girl I sat next to for me?
Hey everyone, last week (Wednesday) I took a flight to San Antonio, TX from Houston and sat next to cute girl who I talked with and was going to give her my email when walking out of the lounge area after the flight but ended up missing my chance. So know I've been beating myself up for messing up like that since I would really like to be friends with her, so my question is will Continental pass my name and email or phone # onto this girl saying I'm trying to get in contact?, I'm not asking for her info. just for them to send mine to her. All I really know about the girl too is that her name is Lindsay and she lives in San Antonio, Texas, thanks, Chris Tara, ya I had asked her if she has a facebook and she said no, I should have given her my info. right when I was talking to her

Sorry, but they won't do that
2 :
She most likely has a facebook, so refine your search engine and maybe you will find her! ;)
3 :
No, unfortunately they will not do that. It would be too much trouble. Hear about this kind of story all the time. One of my friends met his girlfriend that way. But you won't mess up next time; always good to learn from.
4 :
Nope, sorry, Continental Airlines doesn't run a missed connection service; although, this type of question comes up often enough that it seems the airlines could squeeze even MORE money out of people if they offered such a service. Try Craigslist missed connections or something of that sort.

You could probably get off but your stored luggage won't get off with you. It will be tagged to go to your destination city/airport (Orange County).
2 :
It depends on how long your layover is, and if you have to change airplanes. Most often on layovers you will be exiting the plane and boarding a different one. Though you should not leave the airport.
3 :
You can however the rest of your ticket will become invalid and your luggage will still go to your original destination.
4 :
yeah but bring your luggage carry-on.. you don't want to lose it!!!
5 :
If you're traveling on a one way ticket and don't have any check in luggage you can do it. But if you have you have a round trip flight all remaining legs will be cancelled if you miss any of your connections.
